Karin is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with advanced degrees in exercise physiology, gender studies and cognitive anthropology. She has lectured internationally and is well published, having written books, book chapters and articles.

As a leader in the nondiet movement, Karin has trained thousands of nutritionists and other health care professionals to use this approach to heal eating and weight issues. Karin co-wrote one of the the first professional book published on this topic, Moving Away From Diets, in 1996, with a second edition published in 2003.
